Bunkai – Station Quatre Chemins
The Japanese word bunkai means “to analyze, to break down” and refers to the interpretation of a posture from a kata. This piece draws an analogy between a station in the body and a transport station.
Seeking to read, translate, and interpret elements of reality, this walk offers a fragmented reading of the various layers that make up this station. Whether superficial or underground, historical or intimate, these strata intertwine in a walk where speech is open and free. Alternating stops and different walking rhythms, the piece concludes at a final viewpoint, opening onto a headphone-based listening experience, facing a dancing landscape.
