PEDAGOGY

Alternating between studio work, off-site exploration, and feedback sessions, Pierre-Benjamin Nantel’s pedagogy seeks to question, through practice, the notion of the choreographic “already there.”
What is already dancing here? In my body? In this group? In this place?
This approach is based on a method rooted in listening, observation, and the visual and attentional framing of reality—a performativity of welcoming in interaction with the uses, users, and inhabitants of a place, whether human or not.
These elements form both the foundation of his personal practice and the basis on which he develops various original and playful transmission devices, aimed at diverse audiences—dancers or not, professionals or not.
