The Dentist’s Kata

The Dentist’s Kata is an accumulative choreography of everyday gestures performed by a dental surgeon, codified in the manner of a karate kata.

As choreographer, dental surgeon, karate practitioner, and performer of this solo, Pierre-Benjamin Nantel raises questions about the accumulation and repetition of specific daily gestures.

How can we codify, transmit, and also free ourselves from these gestural loops that inhabit us?
